Other Unicorn Places on the Net
The Japanese equivalent to this site, maintained by Ken'ichi Hoshino, is quite extensive: the discography lists who wrote each song and provides track timings, and there is much information on Unicorn songs broadcast over Karaoke networks. View it directly (if you've got a Japanese-capable browser) or through Shodouka. Note that Shodouka doesn't render the Japanese characters correctly when they appear in pull-down menus etc. on forms, such as on the "vote for your favorite Unicorn song" page.

Other all-Japanese Unicorn sites are those created by Nobuo Nakagoshi, Toshiaki Abe, Maiko-san, ken@sainet.or.jp, and Takuya-san.

Sony Japan's Hit and Run Express is a small, free, irregularly published 10-20-page magazine that provides news and gossip on some ex-Unicorn artists and spin-off projects, including Yoshiharu Abe, ABEX GO GO, Tamio Okuda, Puffy, and Vanilla. Hit and Run now has a website too, where you can play games and see tour information and order Puffy T-shirts, all in glorious Japanese.

Kirin (the beer people) seem to have the other official Puffy site (in Japanese, of course). Drink up!

Ken-chan (Keiji Okamura) has pretty good English-language pages for Tamio and Puffy.

Bo-Yi Lin has a short page (in English) for Tamio.

There's a pretty good site for Puffy, but it's mostly in Japanese.

Brad Douglas has a series of pages celebrating Tamio's solo work. He's currently busy typing in all the lyrics to "29."

Toshiaki Matsudaira has a Unicorn Page in Japanese. He's also got the picture of the dancing turtle from the cover of "Odoru Kame Yapushi."

There's a brief biographical page on Tamio in English courtesy of Kyoto Sangyo University.

Kenya Kusunose has a page for Tamio in Japanese. Can someone tell me what this is about?

There's also one by Akira Yamaguchi .

The be-all and end-all of Japanese pop music resources on the Web must surely be Bonsai's Jpop Pages.

It's not really a link, but Sony Japan appears to have a machine named "Unicorn" at their Computer Science Laboratory. No word on whether it's named for the fab five.
